Making a quick trip to Western Australia, (from Tasmania), was made very pleasant travelling business class in both directions. There is nothing quite like complimentary champagne and meals and club lounges to ease the whole day negotiating airports and queues!
Perth put on its best weather, warm and sunny the whole week – it really is a summer place. Great restaurants, riverside drives, train journeys through blossoming Xmas tree countryside, ocean vistas, bush walks, MOMA exhibition at AGWA, family birthday lunch; I crammed it all in while enjoying family hospitality and company.
- West Australian Xmas trees, Nuytsia floribunda is a hemiparasitic plant found in Western Australia. The species is known locally as the Christmas Tree.
- A Sunday Bloody Mary at The Mechanics Institute – quite a meal!!
