Roz and I had a brilliant time in Sydney, meeting up from different parts of Australia to spend a few days together before she returns to work on the QM2. We so enjoyed The Lion King, on stage at the Capitol Theatre. It was everything we expected….and more. Fabulous having aisle seats as the puppets rushed by us to the stage, singing and dancing in larger than life ways. And the theatre itself, wondrous.
We walked Darling Harbour, enjoying the crowds, the atmosphere, the winter festival ice skating and light shows then ambled our way thru Chinatown taking in the restaurant fragrances, too full from our Hard Rock Cafe meal to even think about eating again.
Off to the cinema to watch The Jersey Boys – great film – a must see. Roz experienced her first ever Sushi Train for lunch – hmmm, I think that is Roz’s last Sushi Train – but I enjoyed every morsel – going to hunt out Lotus roots to make my own chips.
